This video covers a little music theory- what chords naturally occur in a Major key, and using chords that are altered from that. This video is great, because he gives musical examples so you can really understand what he is talking about.
What is the circle of fifths? Why is it important? What can you do with it? If you have heard of the circle of fifths and thought it was very mysterious, this is a good intro for you. Even if you are not really into music theory, this is totally worth learning.
This is a great series of four videos (of which this is the first) about melody. Bernstein was a marvelous teacher, and he really brings the subject matter to life. Learning about music has never been so much fun!
Interesting alternative to using a metronome. Worth trying it!
